Together against food waste

Logistics can do a lot: it can make an important contribution to society. For many years, Galliker has supported the Swiss food aid organization "Tischlein Deck Dich" with transport services. We are happy to make our contribution by bringing surplus, rescued food to people who need support.

Together against food waste

Last year, Galliker carried out transports worth around CHF 35,000 pro bono for the organization Tischlein Deck Dich. With the help of these transports, surplus but perfectly good food from production and trade is efficiently transported to the regional distribution points of Tischlein Deck Dich.

Thanks to this support and the great commitment of over 4,500 volunteers, Tischlein Deck Dich was able to provide around 50,000 people affected by poverty throughout Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein with rescued food every week. The food was distributed via 168 distribution points as well as additional food aid, which helped households to significantly reduce the strain on their budgets.

As the first charitable Foodsave organization in Switzerland, Tischlein Deck Dich can look back on a challenging but successful year, as around 9,000 tonnes of food were rescued and distributed in 2025. At the same time, six new distribution points were opened, enabling even more people in difficult life situations to be reached.

The goal for the coming years remains ambitious. For 2026, the organization plans to save 9,100 tonnes of food from going to waste and pass it on to people who need it. We are delighted to be able to continue contributing to this important task in the future and to support the organization with logistics services.

This collaboration is an impressive demonstration of how logistics and social commitment can go hand in hand. Thanks to the support of Galliker, valuable food gets to where it is needed instead of being thrown away. A contribution that not only conserves resources, but also helps people.
