Successful expansion in combined transport

Following a successful test phase for the cargo rail trailer designed for rail transport, we now carry out daily rail transports between our branches in Pfungen (ZH) and Aclens (VD).

Successful expansion in combined transport

The strategic networking of the eleven national Galliker branches with direct rail connections enables the efficient and sustainable provision of transport and logistics solutions by road and rail. "With the direct connection of the Galliker branches to the Swiss rail network, we have been relying on combined road and rail transport since 1997" and on partnership-based cooperation with SBB Cargo and the Rhaetian Railway, says Peter Galliker jun. Head of National Transport & Branches.

Just in time from A to B

The central hub in the national distribution network is located at the headquarters in Altishofen. With our national branch network, we are ideally positioned to supply our customers as quickly and efficiently as possible. The goods are collected from the sender by truck. The truck then transports the goods to the nearest branch. During the night, the goods are then distributed by rail in a night shift, after which the trucks take over the final distribution to the recipient at the relevant branch.
