One example of this is our regular transport route for our customer Lactalis from Ospedaletto (IT) via Bannwil to Altishofen. A Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 is used on this approximately 400-kilometer route. With a battery capacity of 621 kWh, a range of up to 500 kilometers, and a charging capacity of up to 400 kW, the vehicle meets all the requirements of international long-haul transport.
The double-deck semi-trailer used can accommodate up to 66 pallets with a maximum payload of 20 metric tons. This allows Lactalis’s shipments to be handled fully electrically without any restrictions in daily operations.
Compared to conventional diesel transport, this saves approximately 385 kilograms of CO₂ per trip. Extrapolated, this corresponds to an annual CO₂ reduction of approximately 38.5 metric tons. Such real-world applications underscore the potential of electric mobility and demonstrate how the combination of modern electric vehicles and a high-performance charging infrastructure is sustainably transforming international freight transport.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our customer Lactalis for their trust and openness in exploring new paths together with us. Such partnerships are a key driver for the further development of sustainable logistics.
