Galliker Green Logistics Day 2026 - Focus on people & innovations

"Logistics connects people, companies and markets. Today, however, it also connects something else: responsibility towards future generations, towards our environment and towards Switzerland as a business location." With these words, CEO Peter Galliker opened the Green Logistics Day 2026 at the Umwelt Arena Schweiz in Spreitenbach on June 2. The event was aimed at members of the Galliker Green Logistics Association and offered a comprehensive platform to present the company's sustainability strategy and current developments in the field of sustainable transport and logistics solutions in a practical way.

Working in partnership towards a CO₂-neutral future

With the Galliker support association, the company is focusing on partnership-based cooperation in order to actively drive forward the transition to CO₂-neutral transport and logistics solutions. The aim is to jointly bear the additional costs incurred for the transformation: Galliker doubles all member contributions received and transfers them to the support fund. The funds generated from this will flow directly into investments for sustainable logistics solutions, particularly in alternative drive systems and the associated charging infrastructure.

Expert input and concrete insights

In his welcome address, CEO Peter Galliker referred to the biggest change in history that is currently shaping the transport and logistics industry. "This change brings with it new challenges - but above all enormous opportunities," he emphasized with regard to new drive technologies, digitalization and intelligent energy and infrastructure solutions. Subsequent expert presentations illustrated how these opportunities can be used in concrete terms. Philipp Bregy (Swissmem) spoke about future developments in energy policy and Thomas Müller about the focal points in the implementation of PV energy and site networks at Galliker. The partners of the "Galliker Zero Emissions Network" - Axpo Grid AG, Ecocoach AG and EVTEC AG - presented solutions relating to battery technology, energy management and charging infrastructure, while Volvo Group (Schweiz) AG and Daimler Truck Schweiz AG showed the latest vehicles and the latest perspectives for emission-free transportation solutions.

Bringing sustainability to life

The Umwelt Arena Schweiz was deliberately chosen as the venue for the event, as it makes ecological developments and innovative solutions visible and tangible for the public. In this context, the Galliker family used the Green Logistics Day to officially open the new Galliker theme island, which will communicate the approaches of modern and sustainable logistics solutions to a wide audience in Spreitenbach in future. A big thank you goes to the sponsors - AXPO Solutions AG, Frey & Cie Elektro AG, Daimler Truck, Volvo Group (Switzerland) AG, Thomas Lüem Partner AG and EVTEC AG.

A crowning finale

The official conclusion of the event was a fitting award ceremony in the categories of employees, customers, suppliers and politics for special commitment to the sustainable development of Galliker and the transport and logistics industry. Among those honored was Thierry Burkart, a member of the Council of States, who has been committed to the concerns of the transport and logistics sector at a political level for many years

Level for many years. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of efficient and sustainable logistics and enriched those present with inspiring thoughts and valuable impulses for the future of the industry

A central message of the day was also emphasized once again during the closing ceremony:

"Sustainability is not created by lone wolves. It is created through networks, through collaboration and through people with vision and drive."

The closing remarks by Rolf Galliker, COO & VRP rounded off the program. The event underlined Galliker Transport AG's consistent approach to further developing sustainable logistics solutions together with partners and implementing them in a practical manner. The members of the development association took away valuable ideas for further cooperation and the next development steps.
