For over 110 years, the name L'Oréal has been synonymous with high-quality beauty products. With its unique international portfolio of 36 different and complementary brands, L'Oréal employs 87,400 people worldwide. As a global leader in the beauty industry, L'Oréal pursues the sustainability strategy "L'Oréal For The Future". The aim of this transformation program is to continuously reduce the negative impact of business activities on the environment in the areas of climate, water, biodiversity and natural resources and to constantly improve the ecological and social footprint - along the entire value chain. In Germany, L'Oréal already opened the world's largest distribution center (DC) in Muggensturm in 2019.

Like all other L'Oréal locations in Germany, the 100,000 square meter DC Muggensturm is CO2-neutral thanks to energy efficiency measures and the exclusive use of renewable energies. - The company supplies the German, Austrian and Swiss markets from here. As a long-standing logistics partner for Switzerland, Galliker is now using an all-electric 40-ton truck to transport beauty products from Muggensturm to Altishofen.

With a battery capacity of 540 KWh, the all-electric Volvo truck used for this purpose has a range of up to 300 km, meaning that the Muggensturm - Altishofen route can be covered without a charging stop. Thanks to the good cooperation and L'Oréal's trust in our sustainable logistics concept, we are achieving great things together.
