Electric travel in the canton of Valais

The 100% electric Volvo truck from the fleet of the Conthey branch of Galliker has recently started to appear in the Sion/Sierre and Martigny region. On the road for food and pharmaceutical customers, the silent and emission-free truck is not only positively perceived by the customers of Galliker but also by pedestrians in the towns and the neighbors of the pick-up and delivery locations.

The electric truck from Volvo Trucks is also appreciated by the drivers. The noise and vibrations in the cab are significantly lower than with diesel engines and driving is quiet and stress-free. In addition, an electric motor delivers its maximum torque straight away, which enables smooth power delivery - ideal for constant stopping and starting in urban traffic.
